50 years of loyal service from David

March 2019

David Oswick retired from the Estate in March 2019 after an impressive 50 years on the Farm.

He held the position of senior tractor driver for many years.  Responsible for primary cultivations, land preparation and irrigation which involved very long hours at peak periods.

He was born into agriculture as the son of Cyril Oswick at Swannington, who was a prominent and respected officer of the National Union of Agricultural Workers.  David has had a lifelong love of tractors of which he owns some vintage models.  He loves nothing more than attending shows, rallies, ploughing matches and the like.

His well-earned retirement was celebrated at our Boathouse with a BBQ and drinks amongst his pals and friends. He continues to live on the Estate and we wish him a very happy retirement.
